Sulo

Nung elementary ako, grade 5 to be exact, kasali ako sa turn over ceremony. Eto yung may iaaabot ang selected grade six students (usually honor students) sa top grade 5 pupils. May susi, sulo, aklat at hindi ko na matandaan kung ano pa. Sa akin inabot ang sulo, at bilang pagtanggap, may script kang sasabihin:



Sulo ng tagumpay
akin ding tatanggapin
liwanag na siyang
kailangan namin
ilaw na gagabay
sa aming mithiin
at magsisilbing alab
sa aming simulain.

Ang sulo.
1991, grade 5 ako nang iaabot sa akin ang sulo at muli akong nakahawak nito noong 2001 sa Torch Ceremony ng Philippine Normal University. Akalain mong makalipas ang sampung taon ay gagradweyt akong guro! Kung nalaman ko lang, sana ay hindi ko inabot ang torch hahahaha.

Gayunpaman, sa lahat ng gurong tumanggap at nag-abot ng sulo, sana nga ay magliwanag ang kinabukasan ng ating bansa :)
